Overview
The problem space that we were introduced to addressed how university students faced challenges integrating external tools, sharing work with non-Notion users, and collaborating effectively on the Notion platform in real time.
Our prompt was to enhance Notion’s tools, interfaces, or presence to help university students facilitate more efficient collaboration and sharing of their academic and extracurricular work.
The solution we came up with was to create Notion Education, a personalized learning hub for classroom collaboration, study methods, and organizing class notes for both instructors and students.
Reflection
Having only six hours to tackle a design challenge like this wasn’t an easy feat. It was also my first time, as well as my teammates, participating in a designathon. One of the biggest challenges was the ideation process as we were bottled down with some ideas for far too long and started having a lot of doubts about our Notion Education idea.
As we started working through it all the pieces started falling into place. During the last hour, we were on a time crunch to wrap up our deck and prepare all the little details we had in mind.
Overall, it was an extremely rewarding experience, as we weren’t expecting to place an award. I loved working with all my teammates and huge shout out to them for pushing out this idea together!
