I’m Katy, currently studying cognitive science and design innovation at UC Berkeley with an interest in software development and linguistics.

Design is a way for me to communicate how engineering can be aesthetic and intuitive.

Recently, the projects that I’ve worked on assisted with expanding pet services for individuals with disabilities, and the other on empowering the cultivation of urban forests.

Growing up in Vietnam, moving to Southern California, and now living in Berkeley—experiencing different environments has shaped my perspectives on human connection and cultural nuances, which I apply in my creative processes.

  1. Taking photos of pretty things (Photography↗︎)

  2. Sipping on an iced matcha latte (essential)

  3. Binge watching shows while crafting

What I love to do…

  1. At my favorite artists’ concerts

  2. Frolicking around museums

  3. Traveling to cool places & learning new languages!

Where you’ll find me…

Bonus: Currently maintaining a (pretty good) streak on Duolingo for Mandarin (also prev. taken Korean classes)
